Okurukuru Winery is found at the heart of our seaside vineyard.
Home to our very own wine selection, hand picked and crafted into our decadent wines with award winning meals to match. We would like to congratulate you on your Engagement, and being one of the lucky few couples to have found your true love.

We would love to help with your first step in becoming husband and wife; we’d also like to thank you for considering Okurukuru as the venue for your special day. 
Please take your time in perusing our wedding packages, they are designed to make your wedding day memorable and to incorporate all that you and your guests desire.  We endeavour to be as flexible as possible, so should you have any special requests, please let us know and we will be happy to make any dream become your reality.
With your choice of several beautiful ceremony options within our picturesque gardens, stunning secluded location, we know that your wedding at Okurukuru will be the most memorable day of your lives.

Okurukuru is easily located at 738 Surf Highway 45, Omata. Okurukuru’s stunning location is only 15 minutes south of New Plymouth – just off the main highway between New Plymouth and Oakura.

Reception Venues

The Restaurant:
Exclusive use of the Restaurant $2000(minimum of 70 adults)


Okurukuru has a number of captivating features which we can offer to you for your wedding.
As you enter our foyer you will experience our breath taking views of the coastline through our celing high windows and directly behind facing inland we have clear views of  the stunning Mt Taranaki.
The restaurant and mezzanine floor offers a selection of framed views from Oakura to the Sugar Loaf Islands; moving out onto the spacious deck you can enjoy
outstanding panoramic views from Cape Egmont to New Plymouth.

The restaurant offers generous table layouts to ensure seating for up to 100 people comfortably, with all tables being able to look out over the vineyard as well as take in the coastal scenery.
From this vantage point a commanding view of the vineyard is offered.
As part of our wedding package for the restaurant you will have exclusive use of the whole venue.
We cover the set up and breakdown of the room, including all table linen and linen napkins.  Also included is access to our dedicated wedding co-ordinator to assist you in the planning of your special day.

We can provide you with exclusivity to the venue from 10.00am on the day of the wedding
You can book a wedding rehearsal in the week prior to the wedding
Arrange to have decorations and the cake delivered on the day prior to the wedding
We can also supply you with a recommendation list of local professionals if required
We can be your onsite liaison between all the professional service providers
Co-ordinate for your reception (bridal entrance, speeches and toasts, cutting the cake etc)
We will pack up your decorations and gifts and store them for collection at your leisure.

The Tasman and Barrel Room:
(Room Set up fee $1000)

Our main wedding reception venue, the Tasman and Barrel Rooms, can comfortably accommodate your wedding with up to 160 guests.
The Tasman Room offers natural lighting from its large three-pannel sliding doors accompanied along with your own private lawn overlooking the Tasman Sea.
As part of our wedding package for the Barrel and Tasman Room you will have exclusive guidance from our very own dedicated wedding co-ordinator to assist you in the planning of your special day.

Also included to make your special day simply superb:
The use of Okurukuru grounds for your ceremony
We can provide you with exclusivity to the venue from 2.30pm to 5.30pm for your ceremony on the day of the wedding
Wet weather alternative inside
Clothed registry table and chairs
32 Chairs for the reception area
Use of our PA system for speeches during your reception
Use of Okurukuru grounds for photographs
Water station set outside and inside for guest access
You can book a wedding rehearsal in the week prior to the wedding
You can arrange to have decorations and the cake delivered on the day prior to the wedding
We can recommend professionals in entertainment, flowers, photography, etc.
We will pack up your decorations and gifts and store them for collection at your leisure
