Liam & Natalie:  My fella and I were married at Okurukuru on May 18 2013.   As foodies, we chose Okurukuru as we had dined there before and been just blown away by the quality and craftsmanship of the food - head chef Sohnke Danger has amazing vision.  Not only that, on our wedding day our every wish was catered for and no request was too troublesome.  The team out there are five-star quality and made getting married so easy – I was so relaxed I was almost horizontal.  We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day at a more perfect location.  Our guests are still raving about our wedding!  Thank you so much Danger and the team at Okurukuru!

We have just come back to planet earth and a sense of normality since the big event. We just wanted to touch base and say thank you very much for hosting our wedding. We were very happy with how it went and appreciated your assistance and personal attention during the planning and the wedding event itself.  

Thanks also for being so flexible when the weather didn't come to the party as planned and we had to come up with a second contingency plan at short notice. Nothing ever seemed to be a problem and as a result everything went smoothly. 

The food, drinks and service were to a very high standard and appreciated by all.

Okurakura Winery completely exceeded our expectations from the start of planning our wedding until the dream day, which ran smoothly. Even though the decision was made to have our wedding indoors due to the weather.

From the beginning Dan did an excellent job of making sure what I wanted on the day could be done including venison on the menu. I organised my wedding from Australia, which meant I put a lot of trust in Dan, who was very accommodating. As I know Dan has looked after many weddings before mine I found him brilliant with suggestions to make something that slightly bit better or if something wasn’t going to work.

Danger, the chef, did a wonderful job on the day with our food. All dietary requirements were meet and everybody at our wedding complemented the wonderful dishes.

Okurakura was a great venue overall and were very flexible. The staff were all polite and smiled, on the day.

Thank you Okurakura for providing Mitch and I our wonderful wedding, we are truly grateful and happy with the performance throughout the process and on our day.
